Burnaby, British Columbia - November 15th 2015. Both #1 seeded players in the Men's and Women's Single event ended up as winners of the Canada Cup event #2. Mo Zhang and Stephen Li succeeded in winning all their matches and at the end of the 2 days event ending up as winner.
In the Men Single event it was clear that nobody could challenge the winner Stephen Li from British Columbia. The closest was Alexander Moran, runner up, giving Stephen a challenge with 2 times loosing 4-2 in the first round and then once again in the final. Mo Zhang from British Columbia did it very similar in the Women Single event loosing only 2 sets during the tournament. The only 13 year old Joyce Xu from Ontario had a great tournament winning the 3rd place with just 2 points away from making the final.
In perparation for the Canada Cup Final January 14-16 2016 Alexander said, "I have to work hard every practice and work on staying positive on my mental game. I have to believe in myself!"
The Canada Cup Finals will be hosted in Drummondville from January 8-10th 2016. This competition will serve as a National Team Selection competition and as the Canadian Olympic Qualifier.
