Jeff Wong, Ontario has been selected by the International Table Tennis Federation to attend the Paralympic Games in RIO during the summer of 2016. Jeff has risen to the highest ranks that an umpire can reach by completing the Blue Badge program. It has taken Jeff approximately two years to complete the requirements for the program. He had to write an Advanced Rules Exam (ARE), attend an Advanced Umpire Seminar and complete four evaluations at International tournaments around the world. The final phase was the interview process which Jeff passed with flying colors. He is now in the maintenance stage of the program and is required to achieve a “meets expectations” by a third part evaluator each year at an ITTF tournament.
