The TTCAN Awards Program is intended to enhance our brand by providing media focus on exemplary coaches, administrators and officials across the country. As the accomplishments of these individuals are detailed, Canadians become more aware and appreciative of our table tennis community. This is an important aspect of our brand development initiatives.
Nomination Process:
Step 1. Each member association chooses its own winners for 2016 Official, Administrator (Volunteer) and Coach of the Year for activities in 2016.
Step 2. These provincial/territorial winners become nominations for the national Barran, Tweedy and Domonkos Awards. Nomination forms for the 2016 national awards are attached.
New as of 2017, we are excited to launch the TTCAN Distinguished Service Award in recognition of individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the growth and success of table tennis in Canada with extended and significant service as coaches, officials or administrators in a provincial/territorial or/and national capacity. The successful nominees will have made outstanding and exemplary contributions to the development of table tennis in Canada in a leadership role.
Nominations for the Distinguished Service Award can be made at any time. The nomination form is also attached.
