Linz-Froschberg, Austria, October 30th 2016 - Mo Zhang did it, and how she did it, was amazing. Winning in 3 straight sets against the #8 of the World, Cheng I Ching from Taiwan did not just gain her some world ranking points, but made it possible for her team to win the match against the higher ranked team UCAM Cartagena from Spain. The Canadian was able to go up by 9 places in the world ranking and is the 83rd best player in the World. 

This was a huge victory in her first ever Champions League match. “This was the first highlight match of the Season and I am very happy that we won. I was still sick on Monday and Tuesday, so I had to increase the intensity in my training slowly during the week. I guess that is why I was more relaxed to play against Cheng I Ching” says Mo just moments after the match. She continues with a smile on her face “I know that I can play very well in professional competitions where the environment is right and this time, everything was right! I am happy that I was able to confirm the confidence that Linz AG Froschberg has in me." 

The next match for Mo’s Team will be Friday, November 3rd 2016 against the German Team from Bad Driburg.
