3 Canadians will join the Austrian Table Tennis Club Linz AG Froschberg for the 2016/17 season

The season is about to start in Austria, just after the Olympic Games in Rio, and Canadians #1 female player Mo Zhang will join the Champions League Team of Austrian Club Linz AG Froschberg.

"It is great for me to start in the league again and play some pro tournaments in Europe. I have been practicing in Linz as preparation for the 2015 Women's World Cup and the 2016 North American Olympic Qualifier. I am looking forward to it!" One of the goals for British Columbia's Mo is a TOP 50 ranking in the World and a good start into the 2016/17 season in Austria.

Matthew Lehmann from Manitoba will be taking his first University classes in Linz this year while also playing for the men's team for Linz AG Froschberg.

The third Canadian player will be coming from Québec. Alicia Côté will be joining the 2nd team and staying at the facilities with 2 other girls. She is in her last year of high school, so she will do online course called "école à distance" where she can do most of her classes online, but has to finish some of her exams back in Canada.

"My expectations are to work hard to improve. Of course I'm excited about this. It's going to be a great experience and I know I will have fun!"

This partnership between Table Tennis Canada and Linz AG Froschberg will definitely give our Canadian Athletes the chance to experience the International Table Tennis scene and good training possibilities.
