Very successful November Para Tournaments

Another very successful month for our Para National Team abroad. National Para Team Coach John Macpherson brought with him our 2015 Para Pan American Champion Stephanie Chan (class 6-8) and National Team Athlete Barry Butler (class 3) to compete at the Copa Tango XIII in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Copa Chile in Santiago, Chile. 

Para National Team Coach John MacPherson added “We chose those 2 tournaments as they were just 2 days apart from each other. It is very important for Stephanie to play some competitive tournaments in preparation for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. The results are above my expectations, especially with Barry Butler. Stephanie is happy and we will get more serious during the winter in preparation for 2016. 

I think that 2016 we will send our younger players to some international tournaments what will encourage that generation.”
