| Wisdom 2014 World Junior Table Tennis Championships |
The Championships will start today in Shanghai, China with the Canadians Junior Boys and Girls Team. The Boys with Filip Ilijevski, Antoine Bernadet, Klement Yeung and Marko Medjugorac will go into the competition as seed 16, while the girls Anqi Luo, Amy Nichols, Jiabao Liu and Alicia Cote will be 17th.
"That would be absolutely crazy", smiled Maxime Surprenant (Junior Boys Coach). "If we could finish in 13th place that would be a really good performance."
The Junior Boys Team will take on Croatia (#9 seed) and Kazakhstan (#18 seed) to try and advanced into the Top 8 seeded group stage. For the girls it will be against North American rival USA (#10 seed) and Brazil (#15 seed) to reach the next stage in the competition. December 3rd will be the beginning of the Mixed events, before going into Doubles and singles on December 4th.
