The International Table Tennis Federation has confirmed that the "Road To Nanjing" includes a stop in Vancouver, North Vancouver to be more precise. 

As the qualification system for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games was announced, the 2013 Canadian Junior Open was included in a series of Global Junior Circuit competitions in which players will gather points to secure a spot at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.

This inclusion raises the profile of the 2014 Canadian Junior Open and will attract a large international field to the event. The other stops on the "Road to Nanjing" are Egypt, Korea, Hungary, Brazil and New Caledonia.

The Canadian Junior Open will take place at Capilano University in North Vancouver, August 29 to September 1, 2013.
